The VIII
This three-look collection is inspired by the final fourteen years of Henry VIII's life. During that time he appointed himself the Supreme Head of the newly formed Church of England in order to annul his marriage. He went on to marry five more women two who were later executed, another whose marriage was annulled, one who died, and one who outlived him. With each new wife, Henry's body and mind grew sicker. The only steady comfort he had was plush luxury of his clothing and furniture, which served the purpose of distracting him from his physical and mental ailments, until he succumbed to death itself.
